Create a book bento

A bento box is the Japanese version of a lunch box with each part of a meal in a separate area. Ask students to create a Book Bentos as a creative performance task to evaluate comprehension.

Assign the Book Bento template for a fun background students can use to to visually represent character, events, setting, and themes in a story.

Students can record their voice to explain their choices and add hyperlinks for an interactive collage. Students can take it a step further and even create their own talkies using the characters in their bento box to help explain their thinking.
