New Wixie content in March
The resources in Wixie keep growing. Here are just a few highlights to keep your students budding with new ideas.
Templates and activities
Talking character conversations
Whether it's Tedd Arnold's Fly Guy, your favorite fairy tale, or another beloved story, use the character interview activities to have students use talkies to interact with their favorite characters.
Talking story starters
Featuring vibrant backgrounds and talkies, use the story starter templates to spark imaginative digital storytelling adventures.

Talking interviews
Encourage students to share their knowledge of the community by conducting fictitious interviews with a firefighter and a police officer.

You can search “interview” in Wixie for even more talking interview templates.
Talking masked reader
Use the Masked Reader talkie template to encourage fluency practice without the performance anxiety!
Search "talkie" for even more assignment ideas.
Talkies
Based on teacher and student requests, we’ve added more talkies, including a lizard, mouse, rabbit, and spider.

You can also find superhero animals.

Training guide
We added Tech4Learning Innovative Educator Rachel Gelinas’s ABCs of Wixie ideas to a new interactive book!
If you are training a group of teachers who have used Wixie for years, have them explore the topics in the book that spell out their first and/or last name. Have them report their favorite feature back to the group and explain how they might use it with students.
Fonts
We extend our gratitude to the Wixie community for their content and development suggestions. Thanks to teachers like you, Wixie now has four new fonts, including Open Dyslexic.

At Wixie, we're committed to empowering educators and students at every turn. Stay tuned for future updates!
